Philanthropy Private philanthropy is the key to transforming medical research into effective treatments and cures for tomorrow's patients. It is no secret that the most successful academic and medical programs are those with the strongest philanthropic support. Gifts and pledges to the Department of Surgery at the University of Florida strengthen our patient care, research and educational training. They may be designated for endowments to support key researchers, clinicians, graduate students and trainees. Under Florida law, major gifts for endowments, research and instruction, and for the construction and renovation of facilities eligible for State of Florida matching funds ranging from fifty to one-hundred percent of the gift. |
