Research The research interests of the division are directed towards primary liver cancer (hepatocellular carcinoma) as well as mechanisms of protecting the liver from ischemic injury during both liver transplantation and resection. Our clinical results for liver transplantation for hepatocellular carcinoma, liver resection for cholangiocarcinoma, and complex liver resections that include vascular reconstruction have been published with results comparable to the best centers in the world. |
