Fresh Faces

Fresh Faces Cosmetic and skin care at the University of Florida is a physician-designed and supervised service intended to meet the needs of our patients who seek a healthier and more attractive appearance. The healthcare professionals in Fresh Faces educate, design treatment regimens and assist our patients in achieving a reasonable goal. Each patient's treatment program is reviewed with one of our Plastic Surgery Faculty as part of our effort to ensure patient satisfaction.

Fresh Faces staff will help you learn about your skin, its components-the epidermis, the dermis and the subcutaneous layers-and the underlying issues affecting them. They will help you develop a health-based, lifestyle approach to skin improvement. Among the lifestyle issues you will learn about are:

  • The necessity of a healthy diet
  • Adequate hydration
  • Managing stress
  • Adequate rest and relaxation
  • Avoidance of smoking and tobacco smoke
  • Sun protection

Aging, acne, scars and rosacea are additional areas where Fresh Faces staff can help. Fresh Faces offers comprehensive skin care strategies, both office-based and home-based. These include both Biomedic and OBAGI products, Microdermabrasion, and OBAGI Blue Peels. Laser treatment is available for acne, scars and rosacea. Consultation with the Plastic Surgery Faculty is readily available for those who require deeper, medical management.

In addition to skin care, Fresh Faces offers laser hair removal, acne treatment, and spider vein treatment with our on-site Candela lasers. Fresh Faces staff are trained to provide laser services as safely and effectively as possible.

Other services offered through collaboration between Fresh Faces and Plastic Surgery are Botox therapy for facial wrinkles, sclerotherapy for spider veins and injectable fillers for smoothing facial wrinkles and depressions.

Fresh Faces is committed to you, our patients, and to bringing you up-to-date, high-quality skin care services.
