Surgical Oncology

The UF Division of Surgical Oncology is a major regional referral center for complex surgical oncologic problems. UF surgeons in this service have advanced fellowship training and expertise in the surgical oncologic care for a broad range of cancers including:

  • Breast Cancer

  • Melanoma and other types of skin cancer including Merkel cell and squamous cell carcinoma

  • Soft tissue sarcoma and other benign and malignant soft tissue tumors

  • Endocrine tumors including thyroid, parathyroid, pancreas, and adrenal tumors

  • Cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, and colon and rectum

  • UF surgical oncologists serve as leaders of a multidisciplinary healthcare team which collaborates to offer the most advanced cancer care at our institution. Our patients' care is discussed in multidisciplinary disease-specific cancer groups to ensure they are offered the latest in innovative and minimally invasive surgical procedures and cancer treatments.
