Educational Initiatives |
Education is a focal point in our Division. Our weekly conference schedule is the backbone of didactic education for the medical students and residents. Please see the following URL: http://www.surgery.ufl.edu/Residency/Current/confWoodwardService.aspx In addition, we daily challenge our surgical trainees to think critically about clinical GI surgical problems. Through rigor of repetitive critical thinking our residents learn GI physiology and pathophysiology, preoperative assessment, operative care, and postoperative management. We continually monitor resident development and provide feedback to ensure feedback and create a positive learning environment.
