UF surgeons in the pancreas and biliary service are focused on providing quality, innovative care to patients with benign and malignant pancreatic and biliary diseases. These physicians work closely with medical pancreatologists to provide operative and non-operative treatment of acute and chronic pancreatitis. Additionally, major resections are performed for pancreatic and biliary malignancies using a multidisciplinary approach to patient care including clinical trials for neoadjuvant and adjuvant treatment. Laparoscopic pancreatic and biliary surgery is performed for select patients with specific diagnoses.
