Opportunities for giving
to the Woodward division of GI Surgery

We enjoy developing relationships with our patients and trainees and are excited to share our passion for creating the best division of GI Surgery.  Developing a state-of-the-art Division requires the investment of time and resources.  We are motivated to pursue excellence in the care of the GI surgical patient and to provide optimal surgical training.  We appreciate your interest in our passion and extend opportunities for helping us realize our goal.

The following are examples of areas of development that require resources:

-Professorships to attract and retain the best and brightest faculty

-Training grants to provide qualified trainees the opportunity to advance their education

-Development of an electronic GI Surgery library that provides CDs, DVDs, and real time access to operations

-Research investment to continue basic science studies in liver, pancreatic, and esophageal diseases.

-Research investment in developing simulation training modules in GI Surgery

-Research resources to develop infrastructure for a prospective clinical research program in GI diseases

-Resources to fund patient safety initiatives in GI Surgery

Thank you for your interest.  If you are interested in giving please call Jennifer Heesacker at 352.265.0646
